soop I laughed when I read about the chickens moving home temporarily. Tara I am certain would have had a good supper and breakfast, so I am afraid that there would have been a lot of feathers flying, especially indoors as that is where she likes to dine.

I am also looking forward to watching Andy play today. I was up until midnight last night watching the football- what will I do when all of the sports which interest me are finished?

Re Mr.MacS are you sure that his specimens did not go on a slow boat to Australia and maybe back again the same route? They are taking forever which is unusual.

anno the reason why we allowed the girls to sleep-over was because there may well be a fox in the area...we back on to a wee forest. We'd have felt really bad if they had met their doom on our watch. Rory will be glad to see the back of them. MacS has hosed the paths several times....and still the girls wander around and poo wherever they wish.

Mmm. Chickens can be quite demanding and messy, but not as demanding or as messy as geese. I hope you have transferred the 'mess' to your compost heap, soop. Chicken manure is a very good compost activator.

Hello all, I've brought some very sticky baklava for those of you with a super sweet tooth.

Haven't had many opportunities to visit recently but I send my very best wishes to all those granspals going through difficult times.

We have no wifi at the moment so I'm sitting on the beach cheekily logged into that belonging to the wee restaurant behind me. I'm sure the owner realises but I have bought the occasional coffee

DH & I are enjoying our travels, this is the longest period of time we have spent alone since we met (I mean with no work or studies) and we haven't properly fallen out yet. Can't be bad.

anno McEnroe is also managing to irritate me. We really do not need his constant babble.
The girls are sitting under the bird's cherry tree. As the finches select the prime seeds, the girls hoover up those that are casually tossed aside. Honest to goodness...the first creature to take up residence with us was a peacock...we called him Boc [because that was his special call]...then we had a family of deer...closely followed by a big, black cat...his wifelet and two kittens.

You are obviously a magnet for all kinds of fauna, soop. I don't think I could live in close proximity with a peacock. Their cry is worse than John McEnroe's burbling. We stayed in a caravan site once where there were peacocks. They woke us up at 4am each day, so we cut short our stay to get some sleep!

anno we were living in a caravan on the plot on which our home was being built and Boc used to sit alongside the builders and enjoy the occasional titbit. At the time, I was beginning to construct the rockery in readiness for planting heathers. Boc accompanied me as I worked away. I was wearing thick yellow kitchen gloves [don't ask] and he must have thought that the flash of yellow was a sign that I wanted to play. He lashed out with the spur on the back of his foot and ripped the glove right off my hand. Thankfully, no real damage was done but I have a beauty of a bruise.

Next door neighbour's daughter and young helpers have captured the girls and as I type, they are being carried away, bottom up and face down. Bye bye girls...stay on your own patch from hereon.

Anno cant stand the drawl of Mcinroe, thought in was the only one here who thought thus.

Re Ball boys,, her ladyship, Charles bidiein said they should be called BALL KIDS.

Cant think of a better name yet, but it certainly demeans the tasks they are asked to do by the players, viz Nadal who is controlled by himself.

Went to dgd's 3 birthday party on Saturday. One of the mums as I was leaving said that her darling daughter who knows I'm Merryn's Graggy told me her darling daughter had said she wanted a Graggy as well. You've got two Nans said mother. But I want a Graggy she replied!
Suspect it's my buggy which I give lifts on round Slimbridge.

I have just spent 15 minutes trying to remove the heat sealed wrapping from a tube of mascara. Scissors, tweezers, scalpel (don't ask) and all the blades from a Swiss Army knife made no impact on it whatsoever. Two broken fingernails and a full on assault on the security tag with a carving knife finally won the day . Does anyone else find the wrappings on things these days annoying or is it only me?

Dd had a 'funny turn' rang NHS told to go to A&E.
She went, after waiting two hours was told to go to walk in GP. Another 2 hours later was told go home.
Differential diagnosis in my opinion

TIA
migraine (atypical)
Leak from aneurysm in circle of Willis
Epilepsy.
Seen by nurse practitioner. She said no problem, probably migraine.

No follow up or referral

Doubt it! She does get migraine so just hope that this was an atypical one. Her bp is if anything low. She has a beneficial cholesterol ratio. She's not on the pill. She's a vegetarian.
So the risks for TIA are minimal. The only one she has is being a bit overweight following birth of 8/12 month old darling daughter

I cannot believe that your DD has not been given a follow up appointment- at the very least I am sure that she would like to have a diagnosis. She should see her GP ASAP, it is unacceptable to tell her that she has had a migraine attack and discharge her.
