Thank you all for your kind words. It is so good to be able to share the joys as well as the sorrows. DH decided to stay at home and have a nap but the rest of us did go to the games where it rained throughout, the Highland dancers decamped to a nearby hall, the DGC, all wearing wellies, did not win their races, declined their usual Candy floss or ice cream treat (wet Candy floss is a very sad sight indeed) and we all got soaked through. We had a great time
Today, of course it is sunny and breezy and SIL, a Yorkshire man who lives with 2 vegetarians, has invited us to join him for a Roast Dinner - something he feels is not worth doing only for himself. It will be no hardship even in hot weather as he is a great cook.
Anyone guessed what Soop's big secret is? I thought we might see her carrying the Queen's baton but now realise it is in Argyll today rather than tomorrow
