Hearing the cuckoo, which has been going berserk every day for the last week. It's the sound of my childhood and whenever I have had to live away from water, I have so missed it.

In which case I would never ever be able to have a glass of red...

A lovely glass of red in the garden, knowing the housework is done and dusted.

Thank you. I appreciate the older things in life!

GadaboutGran Mon 19-May-14 18:17:41

I'll leave you mine Galen. Kids these days don't appreciate these simple pleasures so won't want them.

A new pearl necklace/bracelet/ring/earrings/tiara!
As we seem to be posh on GN, one must have a spare tiara or two

Warm bed and good book. Alternatively, chaise longue under a tree in the sun, and a good book.

I agree BeeWitch but I would add either a cup of Lady Grey Tea or a glass of wine. wine In fact within 5 minutes that is exactly what I will be doing.

My simple pleasure is settling down for an uninterrupted read with a favourite book ...

We did the front patio and steps leading up to our apartment over the week-end surprising how nice weather gives you the urge to Spring clean, everything looks so much better now.sunshinesunshine

Oh I must get one! Back patio faces North, covered in green mould/moss yuk! Have seen some expensive power washers, but I only have a small area so would a cheaper one work just as well?
Any recommendations?

I love it too..... not enough 'water play' as an Infant, I suspect! smile

Blasting everything in the garden that doesn't move ( and a few things that do) with a borrowed power washer yesterday afternoon. Very satisfying smile
