How do I contact the powers that be. I had a post deleted some time ago because of my comments on a certain poster. There is a live thread at the moment where, in my opinion, there are some very offensive comments, and jet, they are allowed to be printed.
I think we all know who I'm talking about. Please respond GN.

moon Goodnight

I remember, jingl. Your second post simply pointed out that your Kindle Fire had changed 'sodding' into 'saddened'.

Must admit I thought they'd deleted the wrong post by accident! grin

merlotgran Mon 05-May-14 23:23:29

Or somebody reported the wrong post. grin grin

Elegran Tue 06-May-14 00:18:11

No, it had made it into "padding". I remember thinking that was a useful adjective.

Elegran Tue 06-May-14 00:19:27

For padding Ipads that think they can predict what you are saying..

thatbags Tue 06-May-14 08:16:06

I still don't understand why people don't switch predictive text off. My iPad never has a clue what I'm going to say next wink

Elegran Tue 06-May-14 08:17:21

My phone is pretty good. It learns as you use it.

kittylester Tue 06-May-14 08:23:53

Mine does too Elegran. It could proably write my 'Good Morning' posts itself. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 08:52:55

Oh yes. I remember now. Thanks. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 08:54:23

I have tried to turn it off. It just turns itself back on. Nothing to do with me. Tbh, it does correct spelling mistakes, which is useful. smile

POGS Tue 06-May-14 10:12:55

confused

I had never heard of 'padding'. I don't think it happens to me as I have just typed 'sodding' and it printed it.

I know I have to read back my post because of spelling mistakes as if I type Jings it will print Kings. If I type Farage it will print Garage.

Most annoying.

Goes to show you have to be careful what you type, especially as there is always somebody waiting to dissect everything you say.

Elegran Tue 06-May-14 10:45:09

I have never heard of padding either, Jingle's Ipad invented it.

rosesarered Tue 06-May-14 10:52:19

Padding..... a descriptive word used to mean playing around on the iPad?

Elegran Tue 06-May-14 11:01:13

Or wasting time occupying oneself creatively typing Gn posts for the Ipad to mangle.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 11:15:27

According

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 11:16:30

That is what it came out as this time. (padding)hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 11:17:16

Grrrr! See?!!!

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 11:19:47

Funny they've deleted my re-posted deleted post, but not someone else's.

No rhyme nor reason. Just totally unfair.

rosequartz Tue 06-May-14 18:19:29

Previn massage?
Sorry, preview message?

Ana Tue 06-May-14 18:21:30

Eh? confused

Anne58 Tue 06-May-14 18:32:31

I think a "Previn massage" is followed by a stimulating thrashing with a baton.

Hope this helps.

Stansgran Tue 06-May-14 19:08:05

Every time there is one of these feisty threads with deletions by the bucketful I'm else where. I feel like the poor soul at the party where the laughter was always in another room. I haven't a clue what's going on as usual. Sometimes I get the impression that people think what is said in the ether matters.

janeainsworth Tue 06-May-14 19:39:13

You haven't missed anything Stansgran

Ana Tue 06-May-14 19:44:55

And there were only two deletions, unless I've missed some...

rosequartz Tue 06-May-14 19:51:41

All the right words but not necessarily in the right order .....

(I have no idea what is going on either)
