Thanks Bellasnana had a fab day at castle then on the steam train to Swanage and back in lovely sunshine.

Ariadne Pleased that you are home and recovering from your Op. You have done well to be 'let out' so soon.
I'm trying to summon up the will to pack (not my favourite pastime!) To visit my lovely sister in Anglesey tomorrow.....will check the forecast to see whether I need pack anything other than mackintosh and galloshes (shades of Enid Blyton!)

I agree, annsixty, in general, but I was completely ready, I think.

I still can't believe how quickly newly delivered mothered are up and dressed these days, though. I know staying on bed isn't good, but the period of rest and care 40 odd years ago was very welcome!

Ariadne well done and hope your new knee soon heals and supports you, but I can't believe how soon people are discharged from hospital now.

Glad it went well Ariadne. Miserable morning in S Staffs again and to make it worse, I can't log in to Gransnet from my iPhone for some peculiar reason. Very annoying as I stay permanently logged in on the phone because my iPad won't keep me logged in. Off to do monumental shop for Dad, looking forward to DD and family's return from their holiday tonight. Have a good day one and all.

Grey and wet in North Leicestershire this morning and it is forecast to get worse over the weekend!

We have a trip to the garden centre planned today so I think we will need wellies and brollies!

Enjoying being home again with my brand new knee; I was discharged after two days (you have to prove you can walk and climb stairs with crutches first) and am very happy to be here, being extremely well looked after.

Cannot praise the North Devon hospital enough - the care from the word go was superb, and the friendliness and encouragement have got me where I am now.

Good morning all, wet and cold here, we are off to Asda later to "Pack", shopping that is !
The charity my DD is manager of, have arranged with Asda to pack customers shopping and Hopefully get donations, so wish us luck as it such a worthwhile charity. Helps disadvantaged youngsters with all the problems they face
to all , hope we get some here as then the customers will go to Asda and shop.

Good morning everybody-it is dry, just, here and a bit murky. Rain is forecast- after yesterday's deluge we do not need more here. Luckily it is not too cold. I am off to the gym in 30 minutes.

Good morning everyone, a fairly promising morning here, after the rain, rain, rain, of yesterday. Hope it improves as I am off for a rush shop and then the first game of friendly outdoor bowls this pm. I shall be a wreck tomorrow! Your visit to Corfe Castle, should be fun NanKate. That part of the country was a favourite for us when the children were young, camping and caravanning - those were the days. Enjoy your days.

Good not really morning, it's damp,windy and dull here, and quite cool.

Feeling rather sore today after a visit to the chiro yesterday. My pelvis is twisted and has been causing pain and discomfort in my hips for about a year!
I thought it was wear and tear, so I'm hopefully going to be like a spring chicken in a couple of weeks!

Happy Saturday all! Rain in Argyll but I think I will be able to go to archery practice after all. Wasn't sure yesterday as my cartilaginous costal joints were sore after too much compost shovelling. Still got a lot to do but, like housework, it'll still be there when I get back to it. It'll take a few days.

Good Moaning (loved Rene in 'Allo 'Allo) All. It still looks very damp here in S.E.Hampshire after a day or unremitting rain yesterday. At least my newly planted sweet pea plants are loving it and growing like mad. No doubt the slugs are loving it too!
