It is sad - what a sorry saga of ill health this poor woman suffered.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed reading her books.

My son has just reminded me in a text that the tortoiseshell kitten we brought home, when he was the same age as Adrian Mole in the first book, we called Pandora. Adrian Mole was such a popular book back then.

I too felt sad at the news, she was a very funny writer and her articles which I think could have been in The Sainsbury Magazine were a monthly delight. She saw humour in the most unlikely situations, Adrian's prostate cancer, being one example and her poor health and eyesight must have been a trial to her,but again faced with humour.

I did not realise until this morning that she was blind and dictated her work to one of her children who had it typed etc.
