What's your claim to fame ?

In the 60s my then boyfriend had a boat on the river crouch, in Essex.
A couple were walking down the pontoon and started asking me about the area. I invited them on board for coffee.
It was only when they left that a neighbour came over and told me that it was Glenda Jackson and the chap who played William Tell ( can't remember his name)
I sold a boat to the the helicopter pilot who did all the stunt work on the James Bond, Mission Immposible films. If you have seen the film, Cliff Hanger, he was the pilot taking Silvester Stalone off the top of the mountain.

Walking down the Kings Road, Chelsea, 1967, a limo with darkened windows pulled up just ahead, three people got out and went into a nearby shop. As I drew level a fourth dashed out and we collided. He set me back on my feet with a hug and a 'sorry luv' set off after the rest of his group. It was Mick Jagger!

I have appeared on TV 3 times and taken part in the Wembley Ice Show. Signed photographs available .

As mentioned SEVERAL times before on GN - winning a competition to sit on stage with the Beatles as they performed at a recording of Thank Your Lucky Stars in 1965. On another occasion George Harrison chatting to me and a couple of others through a dressing room window at Birmingham Town Hall.

I appeared on 'Nationwide' back in 1981. It was a 5 minute film about the environment and too much packaging. I had to buy a man's shirt and then remove all the celllophane, cardboard, pins and clips etc. and display them on a table to show how over-the-top the packaging was.
I enjoyed the filming, which took half a day. But when it appeared on television a few days later I was horrified at my hair, face etc... and even more horrified by my Devonshire accent. I literally ran screaming from the room and never did see all of it.
Also, I spoke to David Dimbleby on the phone a couple of times when I was a secretary.
And I once sat back to back with Frank Bough in a London restaurant.
Oh, and I was working in a hotel on the Isles of Scilly in the 1990's
when a BBC team came and stayed for 2 days, including that chap who presents news from Hollywood on 'Lorraine' some mornings....Ross King,
I think his name is. He was very friendly.

My claim must be that I have NEVER met anyone famous. What a sheltered life I have led,and sadly nothing out of the ordinary has happened to me. I feel so deprived.

I have had lunch with the Queen. Nursed members of pop groups in the 60s and a couple of years ago I was standing in a queue next to Wayne Sleep. It happened to be TK Maxx so for a few minutes I thought he was just a look alike but someone said he was appearing at the theatre in town.

I'm afraid my friends and I used to chase the pop stars all over the place in the '60s. Apart from the Beatles thing, I met Tom Jones and chased Ray and Dave Davies around the streets of Birmingham to mention but a few.

I was cuddled by George Formby when I was a tiny baby, and I appeared as a contestant on Fifteen-to-One in 1997, didn`t win though! I have a photo to prove it as well.

I used to be a well known actress and played parts in many series and soaps. However, as I got older, the parts dried up.

Norris Cole was filmed for a scene in Coronation Street in one of our offices where I used to work before I retired. The scene was about two minutes and it took most of the day. We had to put the sofa on blocks because he was short.

I was struggling with GD in her buggy down a flight of stairs at the V&A a couple of years ago when a lovely man came over & carried her all the way down - leaving his wife to struggle with 2 boys & a buggy. No mistaking Damian Lewis & Helen McCrory. Beat the handshake with Bill Clinton, Tony Blair & all their entourage in Omagh 1998 after the bomb.

Sir Peter Scot came to our church when I was 6 and we put on a show for him. My mother taught me a ballet dance to perform. I have also sat in the school quad by the fish pond, chatting to Gladys Aylward but think I may have mentioned this before.

My head was patted by Jack Warner (Dixon of Dock Green) after my friend and I got his autograph. He was in The Kings Head in Barney - would have been about 1963. A little bit of envy at school the next day as we were the only ones to see him.
Not quite The Beetles though was he !

I conducted the on-stage orchestra at the London Palladium, and at the Talk of the Town... apart from that...zip. I preferred to be a back-room boy.

And apparently when I was a baby we shared a train compartment with Sir Malcolm Sargeant,

I was chatted up by Marc Bolan when the T before Rex was still Tyrannosaurus. And ended up in the suite next door to Justin Timberlake while at a conference - actually tried to open his door thinking it was mine after a glass or three of wine and was seen off politely by his bodyguard. Sweet boys both.

I met Father Trevor Huddlestone when they visited our church when I was about 12.

I later learned that a friend of ours had read Theology at Cambridge at the same time as Desmond Tutu.

I saw Graham Norton in Waitrose in Canary Wharf in London, I said hi to him and he kind of grunted back
