Fancy writing a group limerick ?

The girls all wanted to kiss

There was a young man from Diss

(groan)

Wey-hey!

The marathon is so good for Grannies

Phoo!

And sweat like pigs till they pong!

(We got lost again. Let's finish PapaOscar's one first)

I don't think I'll be winning a gong
But papa let's hope that you're wrong
The grandmother runners
Are all such stunners

(Surely this is another pome, not a limerick...)

(...do we have an extended rhyme scheme here?)

Their running is zingy

Glad you liked it, Nankate I was a bit hesitant to alter it.

Their Lycra is clingy

Are all such stunners

Elegran I agree with you that you improved my first line - thanks for your help.

The grandmother runners

What happened to papaoscar's previous one at end of previous page:

I don't think I'll be winning a gong
But papa let's hope that you're wrong

(We made it to the finish of the limerick, at least)

To keep to the straight and the narra....

Sporting a djellaba

(YES!)

(but you're just being difficult!)

All our wishes and hopes to Mo Farrah
May he not cross the line in a barrah
With Tiranesh Debaba

(I do like that name)

(No the third)
