Sunny but a bit chilly in Brum

dustyangel - Mothers' Day in Portugal is actually on the first Sunday in May which would be the 4th. In most of Europe and the US it is on the second Sunday which is the 11th. I wonder why we don't all have it on the same day? confused

Oh, good morning everyone! It's still dark here at 7am so I can't give a weather update. Yesterday was hot but cloudy, today is supposed to be cooler.

Hope you all have a good day smile

Very cold last night, the coldest of the winter apparently. There was a bit
of frost on the grass this morning. Sunny now but rain forecast.

Forgot to say that the first lamb was born yesterday and several Ewes are in labour today. I just love to watch them.

Good morning, lovely sunny day here in the north east. I suspect it is chilly but haven't been out yet. Going to the cinema to see The Book Thief smile

No problem about Mothering Sunday Mick. In Portugal it was Father's Day last week, Mother's day is on 1st May and I've got two cards firmly labelled do not open until 30th. I'm completely confused anyway. grin
Printmiss that's how I got my hollyhocks as well.smile

Light cloud here this morning but I think it will burn off later. Off to our Portuguese class soon.

Morning all!

A really bright, sunny morning here in North Leicestershire and there was a frost overnight.

This morning I am going to sort out my wardrobe and my recipes - cue for lots of gn, I think! This afternoon I am doing my first training session for the National Trust - exciting!

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

Good morning from the south coast, cold here too, but really bright, so it feels good. Hope your plants are o.k. Brendawymms and if you have friends with hollyhocks, cadge some seeds. I actually 'stole' mine from the bowls club (no one minds!) and they came through really well for a couple of years, a bit if a nuisance after that! Enjoy your days everyone.

Good morning from East Sussex. Bright and frosty today. I have got a lot of tender plants through the winter so hope they don't die off now. Ordered five Hollyhock plants yesterday. They have been quite hard to find.

Good Morning such a bright pleasent day here to-day but still very cold so a big coat needed to-day.

Good morning everyone. Very sunny here on the Isle of Man but very cold and patches of frost - just back from walking the dogs and it was lovely in the crisp air, frost tinged grass and the daffodils brightening the lane. A day that feels good.

Whatever you are doing today, I hope you enjoy it.

'Mornin' All. Bright and chilly here too. Agree about the supermarket hype Mick. It's really annoying. Also TV and Media trailers for programmes three months distant.

Good morning all. A frosty but bright start here in Somerset.
