What's your prudery?

Mine's bum cracks (even children's) when people are supposedly 'dressed', and excessive cleavages. Yuck. The first more than the second, a bit.

Grannyknot Tue 18-Mar-14 22:18:28

I'm prudish about porn.

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 22:19:14

I agree with anno. This thread is going way beyond 'prudery' and veering into 'predjudice' territory.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:23:39

What about nakedness in the home?

annodomini Tue 18-Mar-14 22:28:00

What about it, jingl?

merlotgran Tue 18-Mar-14 22:30:33

Too cold at this time of the year. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:32:23

Do you walk about naked? Do you mind if your DH does. Your children when they were little?

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:33:03

Central heating merlot. hmm

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 22:37:08

Bl**dy hell, it'd have to be turned up very high to get me walking round the house naked...hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:43:53

But if, say, you forgot a towel or something that was downstairs, would you nip down from the bathroom to get it? Just shouting out to people to look away if they did n't want to see you in all your glory. And nothing else?

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:47:29

Anyone? Are you all too prudish to discuss it?

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 22:48:53

Only me and him in the house, and he's seen it all before...grin
(No, I wouldn't do it if kids were about - they might be traumatised for life!)

janeainsworth Tue 18-Mar-14 22:49:35

No. I would put my dressing gown on first.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:50:16

What about if the phone rang just when you were about to step into the bbc path? And the phone was downstairs. Would you bother with a dressing gown, a towel, or nothing? While you had a conversation.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:51:54

How did you feel about letting your children see you naked (when they were little)?

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:53:45

I leave my dressing gown in the bedroom. Never take it in the bathroom.

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 22:54:23

I never step into the bbc path - that way madness lies! hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:54:34

Why is it only me on this thread now? [innocent]

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:55:39

Bath. grin #bloodyfire

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 22:56:02

Because you're a prude! grin

janeainsworth Tue 18-Mar-14 22:56:33

I ignore the phone, jingl
When the children were little, it wasn't a big deal. If they happened to see me getting dressed that was ok, but I didn't deliberately parade around with nothing on, IYSWIM.
HTH.
grin

Ana Tue 18-Mar-14 22:56:50

grin

moon

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:57:50

Why do you say that?

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 18-Mar-14 22:59:33

I bet you lot are all a bloody sight more prudish than I am. Half of you don't even know what the word means. grin

DebnCreme Tue 18-Mar-14 23:00:42

grin oh Jings happy to discuss. You do what you like. I couldn't because it would put everyone off their breakfast! Or lunch, or supper for that matter. Thank goodness the airing cupboard is next to the bathroom but a pity about the long, uncurtained window opposite so still need to be covered up grin

annodomini Tue 18-Mar-14 23:15:16

I don't much like the sight of my reflection in my birthday suit, but at least I live alone. If I have guests, I wouldn't inflict that image on them, though I think it might have appealed to the late Lucien Freud! grin
