Charleygirl I would feel so honoured if Rory was to sit on my lap, but he won't. The only lap good enough for Rory is, beyond a shadow of doubt, MacSporrans

Feeling slightly better today. Doc reckons that I should be better by Monday. I have a cat portrait waiting to be painted. I may be brave enough to apply the first wash some time today. Watch this space MiceSelf

Bellasnana not balla!

I've just spoken to my friend J, she has to go back to theatre as she has had a bleed, but the surgeon is still there, and so J is not worried.
I feel much better for talking to her.

Lona I have been thinking about you and your friend all day. Hope you have had some news of her by now. The waiting is torture

I still have far too many Easter goodies sitting here although I have scoffed the best part of a large lamb-shaped figolla (almond stuffed pastry covered in chocolate). I knew I shouldn't have started it as I can't resist going back for more. Come on granspals, you have to help me out!

I want to thank you all, again, for being so supportive. It is wonderful to be able to pop into soop's tranquil kitchen and find such kindness.

Get well soon, soop. I do hope the antibiotics have kicked in

I'm waiting to hear from the hospital about my friend's op, so I can't settle to much. except cake

soop maybe Rory would deign to move from McSporran's side to sit on your lap and keep you grounded.

to all those who are ill or have relatives under the weather. We appear to be going through a bad patch at present.

Bellasnana I am truly sorry to hear that your dear husband has cancer. Words fail me. I wish that I could do something to comfort you. Although we are all so far apart, I want you to know that whatever support we give each other on GN, is genuine and heartfelt.

Sending love to soop Bellasnanna dustyangel and Lona have just been doing a spot of catching up and find so much has happened. You are all in my thoughts.

Soop - the nasty bug I had about five weeks ago made my teeth hurt and I ached all over with a nasty cough. I hope you recover soon.

I have not been able to post on here (yet again), but it seems Ok now.

I am so sorry to hear of your news, bellasnana and hope all will go well with DH and your sister.

To anyone else who is suffering ill-health, my best wishes for a good recovery.

I haven't been in the kitchen for a while and have just caught up. What a lot of worrying news.

Bellasnana My dear, I'm so sorry to hear your awful news. You have so much to worry about at the moment, and it's hard when you have to be strong for your family and husband. Look after yourself too

soop I hope you feel better sooner rather than later, we miss you already

Bellasnana It sounds as though DH's symptoms started when you and he were on holiday and he saw a doctor very soon after returning. Hopefully he will not need surgery and that chemo and/or radiotherapy will do the trick.

So sorry to hear that your sister is having a very rough time. It is not easy for either of you when you are so far away. You have more than enough to worry about.

soop I do hope that you are beginning to feel better once the antibiotics kick in. You need to think of your previous joint replacements and not put off treatment.

So sorry to hear your hubby`s news Bellasnana, hopefully all will be well. My hubby was diagnosed with bowel cancer last summer, then a rather large aneurysm, but after going through two major ops within a month, they say that the cancer has been caught, so don`t give up hope yet.
Soop, lovey, I hope you`re soon on the mend xx

Bellasnana, what horrible news for you and your husband. Don't apologise for bringing bad news here. This is the right place if you need a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to have a good cry on if you need it. ((((hugs))))
