(Ana You carry on from the mistake, not from the legit move that was before the mistake. Another useful dodge - not rule - is to put brackets round a comment to show that it is not a game move. Then it is an aside and "invisible" and people can get away with not continuing from it.

What do you mean 'we start from that mistake'? Start afresh, or just carry on from the 'mistake'?

If someone messes it up makes a mistake, you start from that mistake not from whatever was before the cockup mistake.

That is why I said (obliquely because I was trying at first not to let on what the number one rule is - but its too late now to be subtle) that each post has an influence, even if it is an unintentional one That keeps it changing and stops people planning several moves ahead. You have to be quick and flexible.

But no-one seems to be following that rule so I don't care, so there..

Checking back though, Elegran didn't say that was a rule, so I don't suppose it matters, which seems daft to me!

So did others along the way - I thought we had to go back to the beginning if someone messed it up made a mistake.
