This is now open for cakes and coffee and hot buttered toast. I am donating the new batch of marmalade. Enjoy.

I have just come in with my Duvet to hide from the angst of some of the current threads, I am in need of peace.
I will try not to stand on anyone while I find a place to sleep. Night all!

soop Thu 20-Feb-14 12:24:01

Whoopee do-da! Eve and her team have won bronze medal at the Olympics. MacSporran and I cheered them to victory. We're really proud to be born-again Scots. flowers

Agus are you still wearing your goonie? I like that word.

OGM I celebrate all my birthdays with gusto!!! grin

number Oh yes, the 'I am disgusted' expression, is all part of the muddy/wet paw experience. wink

soop Thu 20-Feb-14 12:28:34

Nellie dear, I see that you are comfortable. I shall tip toe around you and leave you in peace. It's awfully wet and windy today. Stay cosy. (hug)

Agus Thu 20-Feb-14 16:40:12

Thank you OGM. I'm with soop re celebrations be it birthday or anything for that matter I love having an excuse to celebrate and getting GD's involved in decorating the kitchen where we dine. In my head the birthday thing is now only another number and more to,do with a get together.

Of course it was that extra support from the McSporrans that got us the bronze. wink

As I can afford to have some lazy mornings now Soop, although I am up at 7.00, I love faffing aboot in my goonie. It's what I remember my Granny calling nightdresses and we all refer to that certain time of night as goonie time, even our Australian son-in-law!

soop Thu 20-Feb-14 17:18:26

Agus "faffing aboot in my goonie..." I must try that tomorrow morning. Isn't the Scottish tongue colourful. As for celebrations [of any kind] I'm all for them. Means that I can partake of a wee dram. Now, I know that it's not yet the weekend but...I may have to suggest a wee celebratory dram this evening. We try very hard to limit our drinks to a respectable total over a weekend. However...wink
I'm still waiting for the art shop to call and tell me that the "bleed free white" is in stock. When it is I shall hasten to Lochgilphead to collect it. Then...the painting starts. Also, MacSporran desperately needs a hair cut. The hairdresser is next door to the art shop.

Enormous clouds...all shapes, colours and sizes. Could be in for a very wet and windy Friday.

Back to the ice skating. Top skaters about to start their long programmes. Such a treat. Graceful, imaginative and skilful. I'm more than a tad envious.

Agus Thu 20-Feb-14 19:24:38

Oh do have a faff in your goonie soop. Makes me feel quite decadent grin

Enjoy your wee dram. It's medicinal.

Please don't hasten on my account, your painting will be done when it's done.

Better late than neverer I am very happy for you ogm we all know the good sense of screening and testing but it doesn't make it less stressful. I think I also missed Agus's birthday- hope it was a happy day for you and the start of a good year! I am nursing a lovely wee secret which I dare not articulate until a certain MIL and FIL and a sister can be told smile When I say wee shall we say about the length of my little finger?

Soutra wink wink

Hello again, Zengran it's lovely of you to call by.

Agus I couldn't faff in my goonie after all. Had a few things to do in Campbeltown. The drive from home into Campbeltown is delightful. Seascape most of the way. Huge rollers at Westport beach...a favourite with surfers.

At 1.30 the men play for gold medal in curling event.MacSporran Rory and I have plumped our cushions in readiness for what we hope will be an exciting match.

The final of the ladies figure skating competition was a joy to watch. One of the Italian competitors [I believe her name was Valentina] reminded me of Wee Man's beautiful mummy. She had the same dark brown eyes, long, dark hair and amazing smile. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

whenim64 Fri 21-Feb-14 13:13:24

Nice to see you around, Zengran. Long time, no see! smile

Agus Fri 21-Feb-14 13:18:58

Oh Soutra what a lovely wee secret. Best wishes to your DD/DS.? Oh and don't worry, your secret's safe with us lot. grin

Had a lovely birthday day thanks. It was that one, Will you still feed me, will you still need me etc. wink

Just have your faff another day soop

Going into Glasgow today so I will have to record the curling. Go team GB.

whenim64 Fri 21-Feb-14 13:31:09

Soutra lovely smile

Gagagran Fri 21-Feb-14 13:34:29

Anyone up for a gather round the piano? I am feeling a playing session coming on. Requests can be fulfilled usually (so long as I've heard of them) but I feel like a bit of Lloyd Webber coming on to start with. Is that OK with you Soop?

(Also brought some freshly made scones, best butter, cream and strawberry jam. Enough for everyone)

Gagagran Tunes from Phantom of the Opera, please. Also love some of the tunes from Les Mis.

Have been watching the Men's Curling final. Well, 'though we didn't win gold, we did win the silver, and that, at the Olympic Games, is a good result.

The Italian ice skater who bears an uncanny resemblance to Torben's mummy is Valentina Marchei. She is VERY beautiful. smile

I'm about to include a photo of Wee Man at the gym. smile

Galen Fri 21-Feb-14 17:15:00

I'm exhausted. May I join you?
Just got back from Wales where I've been choosing my bow and arrows.

soop Fri 21-Feb-14 17:19:54

Come on in, Galen sit yourself down. Park your bow and arrows, feet up, you shall have a brew and one of Gaga's scones. LizG has been kind enough to treat us to cream and strawberry jam. What's not to like. grin

LizG Fri 21-Feb-14 17:25:08

Not me I'm afraid Soop but Gagagran has done the delicious honours and boy they are delicious. (garbled post due to mouth being full). Were you pleased with your choice Galen?

Galen Fri 21-Feb-14 17:47:40

Yes very! I've just got to learn to shoot it now!
I've had that blasted 'ye canna shove yer granny off a bus' going through my head since you lot mentioned it! It's driving me crazy!
