Hey Pete just dropping by to make sure the staff have turned up,you know what they are like after a late night grin couple of bodies still lounging in the hammock so I'll leave them to sleep it off, can't make out who it is all I can see are four legs over the side.hmm has anyone been reported missing ??
I've just left some goodies for later nothing too special as most of us are being treated to lunch etc by our off springs, but I've made sure you meat & potato are all stocked up in case you fancy one when the footie is on,can't have the boss going hungry.

Nonu Sun 30-Mar-14 15:15:31

Hey little missie Ana, you are wrong, I meant that we all like as Glam said curry seems to be a Saturday night for the gang.
SO the duvet rising means that trumps , as my G/s says .
Anyway DD has now arrived to take us to hers for a meal .
Hope you all enjoy yourselves , whatever you are doing !

x

Ana Sun 30-Mar-14 15:27:29

Oh, I'm sorry Nonu, thought you were in for a night of passion for a moment there! grin

Anne58 Sun 30-Mar-14 16:16:46

If there was any connection between eating curry and passion, I would be force feeding Mr P a diet of korma, biryani, rogan josh, madras and vindaloo, and to hell with the consequences.

Pete Sun 30-Mar-14 18:08:55

A small Naan usually does it for me..... grin

POGS Mon 31-Mar-14 06:47:49

boheminan Tue 01-Apr-14 00:28:32

I've just returned from a jolly music night up the road glammmanana and enjoyed the extra hour (another lock-in). Shame they don't have lock-ins here - is it because they lock the door at 8-00pm to keep the punter's from escaping?

boheminan Tue 01-Apr-14 00:29:35

Mmm, a few too many 'M'ms therehmm

glammanana Tue 01-Apr-14 00:37:29

I've a feeling the boss has lock outs sometimes so he can keep the TV & sports channel to himself but he is on the missing list at the moment,he may be still getting over the shock of his team winning this week grin and for that comment I am now going to duck behind the hammock out of sight.hmm

Pete Tue 01-Apr-14 12:09:34

Kick a man when he's down eh?

Big game tonight.......NO German beer available. grin

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 10:39:41

Day one of the Grand National Meeting!
The ground looks like riding "good", which should favour the fancied runners , which I usually go for !
So fingers crossed and Bon Chance !!

Tegan Thu 03-Apr-14 10:57:32

Lets hope justice is done and The New One and Sam win today!

Anne58 Thu 03-Apr-14 11:03:45

Hooray! I'll be able to watch. (Should be doing housework)

Anne58 Thu 03-Apr-14 11:04:33

PS has anyone spoken to Pete about the calendar?

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 11:19:36

Tegan he is mine of choice in that race ! Hope that is not the kiss of death !!!
PHO blow the housework , it will keep . grin

Happy racing to us all !!

:-) :-)

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 11:21:15

Re Pete , you are probably the best to speak to him , you have a way with you , he would not be able to resist !!
grin

Anne58 Thu 03-Apr-14 11:25:27

Perhaps it might be better if he DID resist! grin

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 11:35:05

Well we do LIKE a challenge !
wink

Anne58 Thu 03-Apr-14 16:27:50

Well, all in all a good first day at Aintree, I know there are 2 more races, but it was good to see all the horses so far get round without a single faller.

Well done "old man" Carberry in the first race, what a run! Came from out of nowhere!

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 17:13:52

A close shave there with The New One, what a screamer of a race, just a bit further and don"t reckon he would have got it !
What a marvellous jockey is Sam Waley-Cohen, he is just getting better and better and still so young too. Marvellous career ahead of him I would say !
As you rightly say everyone got home safe and sound PHO , which really and truly is THE most important thing . Re Paul Carberry shows many a tune to be played on an old fiddle.
All in all, quietly pleased with this afternoon .
Look forward to tomorrow .

Tegan Thu 03-Apr-14 17:58:27

Couldn't watch the race; stood in the hall with my eyes closed screaming 'c'mon Sam'. At Cheltenham he got off TNO and ran straight into his dad's arms in tears and it broke my heart. The God of Racing would have been very cruel not to have let him win today. Fences on both the park course and the National course are much softer than they were; the Mildmay course used to terrify me. Got a couple of rather special racemares to look out for tomorrow wink. And my beloved O'Faoilains Boy. Can't wait!

Nonu Thu 03-Apr-14 18:11:49

Ah TEGAN , Bless !
Are you going to "share" ?
It was just so thrilling , but as I said to PHO I thought it touch and go , nanoseconds later he would have lost it !
