Is the dart board in the snug, really fancy a tournament. Any other darters out there?

Pete Sat 15-Mar-14 22:55:34

Notice the log fire in the snug Laydees...... anything for YO cupcakes...

Ana Sat 15-Mar-14 22:54:28

Oh dear, I spoke too soon...and Pete, you know very well I never drink vodka (only because it's all gone after that Lona's been in...hmm)

Rosannie Sat 15-Mar-14 22:54:23

Watch out pete, I have a deadly aim even after a couple of pints! Not too good with tiddlywinks tho.

Pete Sat 15-Mar-14 22:53:00

Lack of Wi-Fi Galen ....that and the can't be arsed problem..... wink

Ana Sat 15-Mar-14 22:51:48

Yes, step over the betting slips, we're safe in here! grin

Pete Sat 15-Mar-14 22:49:09

The cider's mine Ana ......you're welcome to your usual pint of vodka..

Rose the dart board is free and the tiddly-winks haven't been touched for a while... grin

Rosannie Sat 15-Mar-14 22:46:31

The snug and a proper drink sounds good to me see you there

Galen Sat 15-Mar-14 22:42:31

Good grief!
The owners emerged!
And who what has been the cause of this prolonged orgy absence?

Ana Sat 15-Mar-14 22:41:01

Well, it used to be a proper bar, Rosannie, but seems to have been taken over by gambling addicts! shock

I'll join you in the snug with a pint of cider, if there's anyone serving...hmm

Rosannie Sat 15-Mar-14 22:28:05

Is this a sports bar or a stable ? what about rugby, football, cricket, ping-pong etc ? Personally more interested in the bar rather than the sports. I'll have a pint of Guinness please.

Pete Sat 15-Mar-14 22:13:11

Harsh Nonu ?
Mine's a Pint.... grin

Tegan Sat 15-Mar-14 21:37:58

I was referring to Ruby's comment and an article in the Independent [which I read early on Wednesday morning when I was still feeling upset about OC]. Sorry; I've been living on my racing forums for the past few days and sort of forgot where I was blush. You actually said what I'd been feeling. I hate it when the press and then even the jockeys say things that make people think that people in racing don't care about the horses.

Pete Sat 15-Mar-14 21:14:52

What comments? can't see any on here made by people 'representing' you Tegan confused
Each to their own in the bar.... sports wise..... smile

Tegan Sat 15-Mar-14 20:57:38

I'm furious with some of the comments made by people supposedly 'representing' me. One was that 'when someone has a bet all they care about is their bet winning or losing, not the horses they bet on'. I backed the winner of the Champion Hurdle ante post ages ago and would have thrown the bet away if it would have brought Our Conor back; most racing people I know feel the same. Yes, horses and pets can, to a certain extent, be replaced but don't tell me that the pain when you lose them isn't unbearable. karma indeed.

Nonu Sat 15-Mar-14 20:57:11

Bit harsh there , P.
hmmm

Pete Sat 15-Mar-14 20:49:05

Watched the racing this week and noticed the fall that killed the horse.....Ruby didn't seem too bothered as you can 'replace' a horse. Next thing he gets turfed off a horse and breaks his arm.. while the horse runs off unscathed.......karma.. hmm

Think I'll have a few beers.... grin
