They're all drunk in here! And it's barely lunchtime! Can't understand a word they say, so I am off to Chipping Norton for a large G&T with ice and lemon. Toodle pip.

boheminan Wed 12-Mar-14 13:57:43

Galen. Now you listen to me, you….you country bumpkin. Where I come from we were brought up to speak proper Queens English. David C (nice young man) and I frequently discuss this, sometimes with Rebecca (if she's not washing her hair or dirty linen) along with a few of the country's other little problems, over a few afternoon cocktailswine (NOT the sort hanging from the end of a chicken's bottom, Galen) in our local Chippie Naughtie (as we locals are wont to refer to the dear Hamlet) hostelry.

Galen Wed 12-Mar-14 14:23:29

My dear young lady. At the convent I attended we were all given elocution and deportment lessons. At the Friary school, we were taught how to get out of a car and how to locate and sit on your chair at an interview .
Then, at university, we all learned what a load of crap that all was!grin

Ana Wed 12-Mar-14 15:09:18

Oh, I don't know, Galen. The one about getting out of a car when wearing a miniskirt must have saved many a blush in the 60s! grin

Galen Wed 12-Mar-14 15:31:51

Who could afford a car when a student then?

glammanana Wed 12-Mar-14 15:35:06

Just delivering a new batch of scones for the customers who where complaining we had none on the menu sorry about that but the meat & potato pies had to be done first because they are needed for half time at footie, the boss must have his pies don't you know grin
I'll just have a nice cold shandy this afternoon as I am really fancying a cool drink after clearing up in the beer garden, the hammock had a big hole in it and has now been patched up,sorry about the colour but I only had bright pink !! Some "butties" in the cooler cheese & pickle or corned beef & tomato, bet you don't get them in The Colswolds grin brown sauce available on request !!

Galen Wed 12-Mar-14 15:39:00

Corned beef sandwiches, warmed in the microwave! Yummy!

Ana Wed 12-Mar-14 15:42:08

Thought you might have known some posh chaps with sports cars, Galen! wink

Pete Wed 12-Mar-14 15:46:38

Don't really want to leave the hammock......anybody able to bring a pint out for me will be rewarded,...

Galen Wed 12-Mar-14 16:39:45

If you don't mind it being sloshed a little I'll bring one out for you? Water I presume as nobody drinks alcohol at this time of day.
