Soops kitchen extension 2

dustyangel Mr soop has developed a liking for Granspals. I do believe that he misses his forays into the kitchen.

We shall continue to search for the ring. I would so love to find it and slip it back on to his finger. He's a bit of a "softie" [tbhsmile]

So pleased to hear that you are home soop and that you and Mr s are making a good recovery. How nice it was of him to pop in here to keep us all informed, and that thatbags of course.
It keeps niggling at your brain when even something unimportant is mislaid, I do hope the ring turns up soon.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I shall ring the hospital...just in case! Mr soop keeps looking at his bare finger. He says that it doesn't feel right without his ring.

Down the back or side of the sofa?

When did MrSoop notice it was gone? Could it have slipped off in the car, or at the hospital? Might it be worth ringing them to see if it's been handed in? It's a good thing we don't all live near or we'd all be there turning your immaculate abode upside down.

Wonderful to see you back and posting soop What an anxious to-do there has been for all your virtual friends. Lots of standing around hoisting our bosoms on the doorstep.
I still think the washing machine may be the answer - what about the filter or door seal? MrSoop will find it, I'm sure. Now can I get you a hot drink?

I'm sure it will turn up, does he wear gloves when he drives? If his hands were cold it could be in the glove. I lost mine once in my rubber gloves.

Gagagran What a lovely story. I shall keep searching. Even been through Mr S's sock and pants drawer. I've a feeling that it will turn up. As for Rory, he appears to be in a huff. Hard to say with cats, isn't it? A dog would go berserk with joy on a homecoming. A cat...well, that's a very different animal altogether.

How lovely to hear two favourable accounts of NHS treatment. Liz, almost 43 years ago I had my first son in the RD&E in Exeter. I certainly had no complaints then and neither did he!
soop, wish I could see the good old Paps. From the upstairs windows in our house in Ardrossan, we could see them on a clear day.

So glad you're back home Soop - you certainly caused a lot of consternation and worry amongst us all. Has Rory forgiven you yet? (I always found a bit of chicken or a pilchard worked wonders with a sulky pusscat!)

Now, re the missing ring. Could Mr Soop have lost it in the washer? Did he load it up/get the wet clothes out? If it was loose or his hands were cold it could easily have gone in with the clothes? I have a story to tell about a missing wedding ring.

When I was young we lived in a house built on a hillside and the back garden was at a much lower level, with a terrace outside the back door and steps going down to the garden. The tablecloth was always shaken from the terrace after meals and one day Mum shook too vigorously and her wedding ring flew off with the crumbs. Search as we might no sign of it was found.

Fast forward 12 months and eldest sister was sent to dig up some potatoes for dinner and there, embedded in a large King Edward was Mum's ring!

Soutra...the Paps of Jura are cloaked in mist. Within a short time the scene may well change. The sea is peppered with wee waves. It is mild compared with yesterday.
Wow! I would love a thick slice of toast well buttered with sticky ginger jam. Any going spare, Liz? Such good news about your sister. You are so right, a good hospital with caring staff, can make a huge difference to a patient. I've written to the Oban Times to say that the Lorn and Islands Hospital deserves an award.

Icyalittle we have checked most places...but not under the washing machine. I shall report back later.

Oh soop I am so thrilled you are back in the kitchen, it is lovely to 'see' you again promise us faithfully you will take things steady.

Sorry my welcome was delayed, had a lovely visit with my sister (she was in hospital this time last year with septicaemia and then had a stroke during the year). We really didn't expect her to be driving to see us but she has done fantastically and looks so well. If I ever have to be rushed into hospital then I hope I am near the RD&E in Exeter; one AMAZING place.

Shall I set the toast going? I've brought in this pot of ginger jam which is my favourite.
