Good Morning Sunday

Good morning to you all, grey and overcast here with heavy showers, possibly thunder forecast, and I am playing bowls outdoors! Flu jab yesterday, and insisted they do this on my left arm, save the right for the bowls. They were not too happy about that, as sometimes the flu jab gives off signs of heart attack, hadn't realised that. Enjoy your days.

I didn't realise that about the flu jab - I had mine last weekend - in my left arm as I'd just had a rabies injection in the right. The nurse didn't say anything about any risk.

Woken by thunder and heavy rain at around 08:00 - nasty!

Morning all not looked out yet here in Lancashire (only to throw the cat out, well "place her out" lol not throw) she does have cat flap but being lady muck she likes to have the door opened for her!!

Took GS to M Jackson tribute at Grand Theatre Blackpool yesterday, was bit disappointed as looked nothing like MJ and other people who sang his songs looked even less! like him..it was ok but at £28 a ticket expected more. Whilst we were in the theatre apparently there had been violent thunder storms! but not a sign when we came out other than wet pavements. Ok well best shape myself and get dressed before any unexpected visitors decide to come

Feel rather tired already thanks to lots of weird dreams, which are bugging me lately, and I get up feeling slightly anxious. Hey ho.

Good morning from sunny South Cheshire, which missed the thunderstorms yesterday!
I am just sitting with my second cup of tea. I have some blackberry ice cream churning away in the kitchen right now although ten minutes ago my kitchen looked like a crime scene. I do like my ice cream maker, and the results. Just sugar, blackberries and cream. Yum!

Sunny and breezy - for now. Not far from you, Lona, but we only had the edge of the thunderstorm - torrential rain though.

Printmiss, it's the first I've heard about the side-effect of a flu jab simulating a heart attack! Our surgery automatically does everyone on the left, though I suppose left-handers might ask for it to be done on the right.

I'm in South Manchester and got the full brunt of yesterday afternoon's storm. The thunder and lightning were magnificent, and I sat watching it as the rain bounced off the garden and the trees flung themselves around. Afterwards, the air was lovely. My late-flowering honeysuckle scented the air for a while. I love a good storm.

We had spectacular skies with the thunderstorms yesterday. One side of the house looked out onto really beautiful red skies and the other to a really side (it's not that big!) looked out on eerie yellowish sky.

The thunder and very heavy rain woke me up at 8am today. It is now sunny.

bikergran I cannot believe that you do not employ staff to open the front door ie housekeeper, doorman et al. My Tara is exactly the same and will sit at the front door for hours, waiting for me to open the door. She manages perfectly well during the night so she can get on with it during the day!

I always have my flu jab in my left arm with no side-effects.

We have just had a heavy shower in South Cheshire. Yesterday was glorious I went for a 5 mile walk with DS1 and DG2 ended up at a canal side café for afternoon tea yum [cakes]. I'm going to have a lazy day today just the usual strolls with hounds.

Re flu jab, had mine on Thursday and my arm still aches!!!

Well I'm now off on a 100 mile return trip to play with DGD for 2hours so her mum can get a rest!

I do it as well. Nearly two hours across the Peak District. A lovely scenic journey but what bits are not urban 30 or 40mph have a 50mph max to try to stop so many bikers killing themselves. They still ignore it.
If it was straight up a motorway it would be so much quicker.

Absolutely piddling down in Hertfordshire. Rain woke me up with an horrendous downpour - thought a lorry was coming through the house.

Charleygirl oh they would have me doing that yes lol the lazy girls 2 of them! tut! and likewise yes! they manage the catflap during the night (when sneaking their tomy friends in)!
