Heard the discussion on Radio 4 on the film programme - made me want to see it if that's any help!

Anything with Bill Nighy...

I'm looking forward to seeing it. It looks good, but I do like Richard Curtis films.

I saw this film . It is very light but entertaining. It involves time travel but half way through the script stops worrying about how that works. Also the male lead role was obviously written as if Hugh Grant was going to play the role (even though he is 30 years too old).
Overall, I think it might come down to how much you are going to have to pay. Cinemas in my area are very expensive but we did the Orange Wednesday deal and only paid £5 each. I wouldn't have been so happy if I 'd paid £10.

My niece saw it recently and used a whole box of tissues, she even got 'weepy' telling her Dad about it..... I'm a glutton for punishment and have it on my wishlist.... as Anno says, anything with Bill Nighy!

We saw it last week and enjoyed it. I would agree with Humbertbear's first paragraph, but it's a happy film and although it has a sad bit, it left me feeling cheerful. Can't remember where I saw a report (don't think it was on Gransnet) of Richard Curtis saying something along the lines of people say that his films are lightweight but when he looks along the street he doesn't see people agonising about their feelings or killing other people, but sees parents playing with their children and couples in love, so his films are true to life.

I cried BUCKETS at Love Actually and do every time I watch it (which is again and agan!)
