Just a word to those who sent me their strength when I was so upset.
DH has now been home for 10 days. Unfortunately all has not gone smoothly with the huge wound, so I am back to nursing once more, only this time at home and the patient is much more emotionally (for me) difficult as I am sure you can understand. The district nurses are excellent I have no complaints about them at all. As I can do dressings, I do the evening "shift", rather than call them out!
However, he has survived and with time will recover fully I am sure.
Life is never dull.
