I hope she lives to be 100 too Gorki her GP is counting on it as she is his oldest patient. She is certainly lively (and full of cheek) I suppose when you get to her age you just tell it like it is !

You hit the nail on the head glammanana she has a "carer" who comes to get her out of bed and wash her on a morning except that my gran gets up at 6am and is showered, clothed, breakfasted and bed made by the time she arrives at 7.30 and my gran keeps telling her "don't bother coming love, I won't tell if you don't " shock

Just wanted to share this funny story with you all;

My grandma is 97, she has been quite poorly for a while and I have been visiting her everyday. Last week while she was lying in bed she said to me "Oh Gilly I forgot the man from the laundry comes this afternoon to collect my (big stuff) washing, could you be a dear and put the good towels and sheets into the green bag and pop it outside the front door please".

I ran around the bungalow finding every bit of washing I could and stuffed it all into the bag. Clothes, towels, sheets everything went in.

Moving on a week I went to see grandma as usual last night to be greeted with "Hmmm I have got a bone to pick with you" (what had I done/not done now?)

"Father came to see me this afternoon and the man from the laundry dropped off the clean washing just as he came in the door"

"Oh that was nice" I said

" well it wasnt NICE at all" said grandma

"Father offered to help me unpack the clean laundry"

I remembered filling the bag the previous week blush

"How do you think I felt, when father was pulling out old pairs of knickers, and worse still towels with holes in them?" said grandma

"well I bet he was shocked at the size of the knickers and at least the towels were holy" I said shock

Swift exit. grin
