But then I suppose the Doctors had seen the previous scans!

Delighted that she is safely delivered. The most dangerous journey we ever undertake even in this day and age.

They probably had two notices ready to go out, Galen and just had to send the correct one. Imagine if they'd got it wrong...

No! The Doctors would have seen the scans and would therefore know the sex, even if the parents had elected not to be told.

Congratulations to them . How long before the tabloids show pictures of Kate having lost her baby weight? Let's hope she has the sense not to succumb to that particular type of celeb pressure.

We do know that she had scans, as do all modern mums!

jingle, earlier on they said they were going to ring the church bells at Bucklbury when the birth was announced. They're now saying they're going to do it tomorrow Sounds a bit Dad's Army.

Maybe the bellringers are all up the pub!

DH was a bit taken aback to get an email from an acquaintance in the US congratulating him on the birth only seconds after we had heard the news here. People who don't have a monarchy always seem to get very excited by ours.

And so they should
