I'd never heard of him before. I see he's doing a science radio programme with Coxy. I chuckled over the following tweet and some of the comments:

He came to a village hall near Sandbach in Cheshire a couple of years ago. It was a sort of council sponsored Arts in rural areas trip. In the days when Cheshire East used to pay for such stuff.
It was very well attended and he was very very funny.
