RNIB...never thought of that.

It might be useful to contact the RNIB about this, as they support all sorts of activities for people with impaired vision and would probably be glad of ideas and help from new people.

and people even.

It would probably have to be a voluntary service though. There are also talking books and pople who do make "talking" local newspapers. You could be very welcomed to do reading for them.

You would most probably need a CRB check and have pay for it, or no care home management would (or should not) let you near what are probably vulnerable people.

You could aproach Age UK locally or perhaps a care/nursing home. I am sure you would be welcomed with open arms! It is a brilliant idea.

I have often thought about it but with reservations like how would it be recieved and how would I go about setting up such a service without falling foul or `regulations`.advice would be appreciated.

I think it would be an excellent idea, providing a useful service and also some companionship and conversation. Are you considering it?
