Now, being serious, I have 2 varieties of home-made soup in the freezer, so which do you fancy, lentil and bacon or leek and potato?

Both of them are nice and thick, but I could add a little cream to make them a bit thinner. I've also got some part baked baguettes in the cupboard, so you could have some hot crusty bread too.

Thank you phoenix any soup and crusty bread would be nice, so whatever is easy for you.

I think a couple of 'Small but Pert' would do me a world of good as well

Ackshually, Pete , my lentil and bacon contains a lot of tomatoes as well, so it might have done the trick. Of course it is a lot more nutritious than plain tomato, much higher in protein.

Aaaanyway, thanks for staggering from your sick bed to make sure all is ready for this evenings session.

Did you wash your hands before slicing the lemon? And have you thoroughly wiped the nozzle on that syphon? It would probably benefit from being taken off and given a good run under the cold tap, or maybe even a good scrub.

What are you like at knitting? Dont deny it! I saw the pink wool in your bag just now. I can sense you are in touch with your feminine side despite your attempts to appear macho. You could help me out here. I am late coming to Lil's as I have just had to undo about 10 inches of my jumper, I have left it "safe" for now but its bobbly wool and its a B*** to pick up the stitches again.

Your close vision might be better than mine. As a special reward for sorting it out I will knit you a balaclava, you can choose the colour. The nights are getting cold now and you need to keep warm at your age!

Do you think opening a knitting club in Lil's would be a good business move?
