Exciting weather!

Greatnan we had real rain yesterday and no mistake... today we have drizzle and you are right I'd rather watch a storm any day... enjoy!

I like a good thunderstorm, Greatnan, though perhaps not every day!

Even more exciting was a meteor that blew up in the atmosphere about 30 miles from here the other day! We heard the bang, and windows shook in the nearby town.

I love a thunderstorm too! Proper rain much preferred to drizzle! Sadly looks like it might be a drizzle day her..grey cloud with sun struggling to find a gap!

I have always enjoyed a good thunderstorm. When there is a really heavy downpour at night, it triggers my back garden security light and I can enjoy the sight of rain bouncing off the flagstones amongst the flowers and bushes, whilst lightening flashes change the colours every now and then. Quite spectacular!

Still pouring down, but storm has moved on. I have opened the windows to the balcony and it smells wonderful.

I love a good thunderstorm but the one we had the other day as a bit too much. The drains and a sewer burst and the water etc flooded the street. I live on a slight hill and the road turned into a raging torrent. The water level rose higher and higher until it was only an inch below the doorstep. At that point I was a bit worried. Fortunately the rain stopped and the water etc drained away.

I have to give credit to Yorkshire Water. They came out the same day to repair the drains and sewer and then yesterday cleaned the drains and swilled the street as some of the stuff that came out wasn't particularly pleasant.

Crumbs! Nothing that exciting where I am; just the odd bit of drizzle and the odd strong gust of wind. I'm just 30 miles from London.
