Silly sexist discriminations

Beach volleyball has an 'undress' code - you musn't wear more than the rules stipulate. So, you have to be coordinated in your attire as well as hand eye!

These rules are a bit silly I must say.

Mind you the sight of men is vest tops is not one that thrills my heart!

No-one is allowed to camouflaged clothes (for obvious reasons; you might get shot by accident if you can't be seen to be standing in the way!)

The men are allowed to wear a short-sleeved top, but not a sleeveless one. Women are allowed to wear sleeveless tops.

As for why they've felt the need to pronounce about swimsuits at all, or the length of sleeves on people of different genders, I'm as baffled as anyone!

At my husband's golf club they state if a shirt is collarless it has to have sleeves and if it is sleeveless it has to have a collar!

Don't understand the reasoning behind swimsuits. Perhaps it was tried once and found dangerously distracting.
Could the objection to sleeveless men be due to over-hairy armpits?

How bizarre. Does that mean a man can wear a swimsuit? Will your husband be sporting a itzy witzy, teeny weeny, yellow polka dot bikini?

I'm inclined to agree with nanaej - they don't want men in vests showing off their tanned, baby-oiled biceps!

That would make me cross too! I'm glad I don't do anything which requires such rules.

OH dear I play golf and its riddled with sexist language and attitudes.

Complain bags it is a clear example of ignorant sexism. If it is not safe to do archery without sleeves then women need to be kept as safe as men!

I am sure it has nothing to do with the men people who made the rules being happy to see women in vest type tops but preferring not to see the rippling muscles of the men!

I know next to nothing about archery, Bags, but why would anyone think of wearing a swimsuit to do it?
