Summer has really arrived when..........

I'm lucky. Been hearing cuckoos for ages! Actually, they're quiet again now so I guess the eggs are laid.

Summer is when the overnight minimum temperature of 6.4°C (last night) has risen nearly three degrees by eight o'clock.

And the sun is shining

The trees are fully in leaf, roses and poppies start to bloom and, if you are lucky, you hear a cuckoo.
