On a thread recently I copied and pasted my two responses off of another forum, who had the same thing going.

I'm truly sorry. It was naughty. [blush]

They were good responses, so I thought, well..............

[bites lip and hangs head]

Agreed! I'm 67!

Annobel Sun 27-May-12 19:34:54

I remember all of the above as well as the farmers coming down with carts drawn by lovely big Clydesdale horses to fetch loads of seaweed from the shore to fertilise the best potatoes ever - Ayrshires.

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 19:33:48

And I'm only 61!!!

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 19:33:15

Yes, and my granny regularly went out with a shovel to collect the horse's droppings!

jeni Sun 27-May-12 19:32:03

I also remember the rag and bone man with goldfish or plastic windmills in exchange for whatever! He had an 'OSS and cart as well!

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 19:31:48

And really, is that old geezer likely to look on here to see if he's been plagiarised? He might now, though - someone could shop you, jingl! shock

Annobel Sun 27-May-12 19:31:01

Fiat Lux - what a great name for a car. grin

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 19:30:10

Well, now you've made us all accomplices! hmm

jeni Sun 27-May-12 19:29:38

Yes! They had a pilot flame and this man came round every night, put his hook into a ring pull, and
FIAT LUX!

j04 Sun 27-May-12 19:27:49

Anagram. It was flippin' guilt!

j04 Sun 27-May-12 19:26:48

You can't!!! Can you?!

Gas lamps? Like Robert Louis Stevenson's poem?

I can't.

jeni Sun 27-May-12 19:25:00

I can! I thought you were older than me! I also remember the man with his hook coming to ignite the gas lamps in our road.

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 19:24:03

Oh I see! So it was vanity which led you to confess? grin

j04 Sun 27-May-12 19:21:55

Well, Anagram, I can't really remember bread, coal and milk being delivered by horse and cart.

jeni Sun 27-May-12 18:31:43

Naughty step for you THAT WAS plagiarism!

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 18:31:32

Yes, that's truly bad jingl! shock

So why confess to it? confused

Ella46 Sun 27-May-12 18:28:09

Don't worry Jings, your secret is safe with us wink

j04 Sun 27-May-12 18:22:51

Oh no!!! You don't understand.

They weren't my replies. They were some old geezer's comments from a blogspot. Or something.

See. It was bad! blush

Anagram Sun 27-May-12 18:01:23

Yes, surely if you have the same opinion on two different forums, you will post the same response on each! confused

Bags Sun 27-May-12 17:57:41

Non-exclusive means we can use our own stuff elsewhere as well, I think. Which would make jingl's repeated post just fine. smile

I'm sure I'll be corrected if that's wrong.

soop Sun 27-May-12 17:48:21

Anagram As I seldom say anything worth quoting, I guess I'm okay... smarmy grin

Anagram Sat 26-May-12 20:02:41

I'll sue! angry

Oh, hang on....I will sue if they ever quote me without my permission! grin

jeni Sat 26-May-12 20:01:28

That's ok, I thought there was something at the back of my mind about lubricants!

JessM Sat 26-May-12 19:59:58

Sorry Jeni - knew it was somewhere on the site:
