The Hospice are at the moment are carrying out urgent rebuilding to upgrade and modernise the Hospice.

I've just come back to Gransnet and found all these wonderful messages of support and all your generous donations to St Columba's or your own local hospices. Thank you, thank you all, and thank you for the PMs of support that I have received.

It is at times like this that you discover how many good people there are in the world. We were not sure whether to book the larger or the smaller chapel at the crematorium yesterday, but went for the larger "in case". I'm glad we did, so many people came to pay their respects and say such nice things about him.

And I was not sure whether I wanted to stand and greet the congregation as they left, but I am so glad I did. Many had to be back at work or had other commitments to go to and were not able to come for the cuppa and sandwiches/cakes (or a tot of whisky) afterwards, so I would not have had the opportunity to thank them.

Now DD1 and her family have flown home, DD2 and DS are back to work, and I am alone in the home we shared for 45 years.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life.

Just realised that by giving via text message, it was more difficult to Gift Aid it and it went through Justgiving site. Suggest that it might be better to go direct to the charity of your choice so that they can be sure to benefit from Gift Aid.

I am just bumping this thread again for anyone who may have missed this over the weekend, and would like to either make a donation or has something to be included into the file for Elegran

Nonu Mon 23-Apr-12 13:10:23

Glassortwo thanks I think I"ve got it , I tend to go "last hour" first but will have a bash at most things always good to learn . I am nothing if not adaptable just ask my hubby !!!!!!!!!!!! tee hee

glassortwo Mon 23-Apr-12 12:40:49

nonu if a thread slips down the list of 50 active threads it can disappear so might not be viewed, some people use the active list when they first open GN to see whats happening, so by posting on the thread it bumps it back up onto the list. Hope thats not too garbled an explanation grin

Nonu Mon 23-Apr-12 12:27:38

Glassortwo , as a relative newy could you tell me what "bumping " means , Ta
