This "Oldie" nonsense

If some of the more contentious posters have come from Oldie Borum, then I thank Oldie Borum.

It's true we are somewhat livelier in our discussions these days which I'm certainly not objecting to.

Jeni you may have a point there! There does seem to have been an increase lately, both of members and arguements disagreements!

Yes, no offence to the oldie site - it looks just fine to me, but I don't go on there as a Gransnetter, I come here for that. No need for it. Just ignore and our Gransnetter members who are also oldies join in and are most welcome.

It seems to have been created by an admin arrangement to raise more funding so we don't pay for membership.

anagram has just asked if I was away when all this blew up the first time, and of course I was! So my response is what most GNs' was, only later.

I don't bother with the Oldie Borum for the trivial reason that the name irritates me. Also, not sure why we need it there.

Well, it doesn't look like it! Pity.

I thought we had integrated oldie members into Gransnet nicely as soon as we stopped seeing references to it. It was nice to see that it was back in its natural place and wasn't dividing members up, so let's hope we can continue to enjoy everyone being equal Gransnetters.

Have had explanation from HQ. But I am clear about one thing-I wish to avoid anything to do with these people.
