You may think the artical is bias but it is true that the met police pays an awful lot for all the members of RF security. And local councils foot the bill in the thousands for Royal visits. Even from 2010 the same is still happening. That's the point. A yougov polled found people want the Royals to pay for the own visits. So that's how the money is alowcated many people may not think that is fair. For a elected Head of State the costs would be far less them we allow they Royals to take.

The Duchy of Lancaster does not belong to the nation, it is the private property of the sovereign and was inherited by John of Gaunt through his first wife, Blanche of Lancaster and passed into the royal family via his son, Henry IV. It is used to provide an independent income for the sovereign.

The Duchy of Cornwall entered the royal family via Edward 111, and its purpose is to provide a limited income for the heir to the throne.
These facts have been posted repeatedly, as has the fact that many of the younger members of the family do not receive an allowance, even though some choose to attend royal events.

They have indeed eazybee but are constantly dragged up, the facts ignored in order to be used as a stick to beat the RF with!! Anyone with a knowledge of history knows this, but others just won't accept it!

royal finances reform charter proposes the following simple reforms, to improve accountability, transparency and fairness in royal finances and to appropriately assign public funds to the Treasury.

Parliament to set an annual fixed budget for the monarchy - including an annual salary for the Queen - to be managed and reported on by a government department, not Buckingham Palace.

All security costs to be made transparent and accountable.
All costs of royal visits around the country to be incorporated into the monarchy's budget, not met by local authorities.

The institution of the monarchy, and all members of the royal household, to be required to abide by the same tax laws and rules as all other public bodies and private individuals.

The Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall to be fully investigated by parliament with a view to transferring them into public ownership, with all revenue going to the Treasury.

The Crown Estate to be renamed 'the National Estate' and its status clarified through amendment of the Crown Estate Act.

Just watched the Meghan reading book to Archie video. Probably been mentioned already, but the way she was pushing it to be that book when Archie kept grabbing another one. She must have been paid to promote it surely, otherwise she would just have let him look at the second book.

Oprah gave Archie the book and they've got to keep her happy.

At least they had masks on when out walking. It spared us those fake smiles that are permanently on show for those pesky paparazzi they say they want to avoid.

Harry is surrounded by team Meghan. Everything is orchestrated by Oprah Winfrey. I can't see him enjoying this set up for the rest of his life.

One day he will realise that he is being feted in the US because of his heritage and not because of how likeable he is, or who he is as a person. Meghan only has these relatively new friends because she hooked up with Harry. He is already becoming the Duke of Windsor.

I cannot see Harry being happy in the situation he’s in for the rest of his life. He’s really become irrelevant.
