Anyone heard of a new genre called Up-lit? Well, here it is. My friend lent me this book and I couldn't put it down. Characters in their fifties, a long marriage, stress at work bearing down on Helen, who doesn't want to retire. I was there in the story. Familiar issues, sensitively dealt with, uplifting in the conclusion. The Lancashire setting is gorgeous. I'm suprised Christmas dinner reached the table this year!
