Book of the Month

I loved The Silk Merchants Daughter by Dinah Jeffries. All her books are set in exotic locations with an undercurrant of tension. Well worth a read.

Think you are too late numberplease. I applied some time ago, though haven't been lucky this month.

I`d just come to that conclusion Chelseababy, I must have been a bit lax, only saw the mention of it yesterday! Oh well.

Has anyone received a copy yet?

It's all a bit quiet on the August Book front....???

It's a bit unusual to be this far into the month without anyone mentioning they have received a copy of the book of the month, so I will continue to be hopeful!! ( If not it's £3.99 in Sainsbury's!) ?

On another thread yesterday -headed 'Silk merchant's daughter' Gransnet said there had been a delay, that those who have been lucky should receive a copy in the next couple of days.I have my fingers crossed!They did say that there would be longer to comment. I hope you are fortunate! ?

I've just started to read it and actually can't say I'm inspired to persevere with it. Its certainly off to a disappointing start for me.

They have finally sent them out.
