Who buys a newspaper?

Once in a while I buy a local Times of Malta just to do the puzzles. It’s so thin now, unlike the old days when we bought one every day and read it from cover to cover and it was packed with so much more.

I read newspapers online but don’t subscribe to any. Most of the news upsets or depresses me to be honest.

I buy one on the days I go out. I prefer the real thing much as I prefer a proper book to a Kindle.

We have 2 delivered every day. DH used to go to the village shop every morning but that stopped during covid. Ours come from the next but one village - the nearest shop to deliver.

Not for years and years probably about 45 years when I used to have a daily delivery

I used to get The Guardian on Saturdays when it was free at Waitrose but not since. I can’t say I’ve missed it.

We have The Sunday Times. Occasionally o/h will bring back The I. I've recenttly taken up an offer with The Independent, 6 months for a £1.

Buy one every day. My morning pleasure is paper and a cuppa and breakfast!

Moi.

Long live The Guardian!

We haven’t come across any newsagents who deliver papers for years. We buy a daily paper if we are in the village, so not regularly. DH drives to get two Sunday papers, every weekend.

Interested to know who buys a print copy or digital access to a newspaper. I’ve been relying on free digital access to the BBC and the Guardian but think it’s time I put my hand in my pocket (as if we’re.)

I love the idea of getting a paper delivered but it’s expensive compared to
digital access. But there really is something about reading the print copy of a newspaper.
