AO or alternative civilised white goods supplier

All of my white goods were bought from Euronics and they price match with Currys but the Euronics service is superior. The owner of my local Euronics is very helpful, as are his delivery drivers.

I prefer to see what I am buying, rather than buy online from Amazon.

I always use Curry's on line sales. They will fit appliances and recycle old ones for a small fee. I have never had any complaint. I think they will price-match other companies too.

My daughter bought a washing machine and dryer from AO and paid for installation (a separate charge for each machine done in one visit). The man was there for 20 minutes or so, and left without testing them. My daughter put a load of washing in, and the utility room was flooded. The water pipe needed some sort of sealant that hadn't been used.

The installation chap came back to make that diagnosis, and my daughter had to go to Screwfix for the sealant and fit it herself. Easy money for AO.

We have a white goods supplier nearby. It is a family concern that's been doing for decades, and I really hope the next generation takes over when 'the old man' retires. They deliver on the same day if the item is in stock, fit it, take the old one away, and salvage what they can for parts, as they also do repairs. I would miss them if they closed.

Had huge problems with AO after a strimmer packed up, they insisted that I went tothe manufacturer, not true as my contract was with them. Managed to sort it in the end, however swore that I would never use them again, and never have.

The best white goods suppliers are your nearest Euronics shop.
They have bulk buying power and are no more expensive than the online retailers.
Euronics are all independent retailers and offer a more bespoke service.

I havent had problems with AO, but had HUGE problems with a TV that didnt work with Currys ordered online.

So I took myself round the corner to the local Euronics and they are wonderful, personal service, nice people, chatty, pop round if a problem so another strong recommendation here.

Probably not available after closing on Saturdays until Monday morning, however?

I found Marks Electric to be very good. Low prices, plenty of choice and brilliant delivery guys. I was kept informed the whole time. I would certainly use again and recommend. Have a look.
