Smeg range cooker anyone?

You'll love an induction hob, I'm completely pleased.

Apart from loving to cook we have a larger family - in the kitchen together but not bumping into each other is nice.

We saw one of each in the showroom today. DH had been adamant that he wanted brass knobs (!!!) but I think I've changed his mind.

It is ( or was when we got ours ) quite a buttery yellow cream. It will affect the colour of your units.
I wanted a rustic look- which I think it provides.

Cream. That was the breaking point with the rangemaster - the cream was horrid but the Smeg was a much better colour.

I USED to cook for even more'- dont ask me how!
My range has 4 ovens, 1 of which can also grill and 6 gas burners plus a wok burner (even bigger ring)
It does come into its own at big family do's.
Which colour are you getting?

I have had 2 Smeg 5 burner ovens duel fule.
The burners are x2 the same size, the other 3 range from dinky to really big. I use all of them depending what I'm cooking.
Mine is in stainless steel always been pleased with them.

Also the reason all apart from one AC has a range cooker (the other would if they had the space)

This one only has 5 'rings'!

I am amazed anyone needs six rings. I use a three layer steamer and rarely use 3 rings

I bought a dual fuel Smeg last year when my wonderful Rayburn died.
I am still getting used to it .what I like is I don't have to kneel on the floor to reach the oven.
I haven't found a way to simmer on the gas hob
I cannot read the knobs and have to use a torch and magnifier and still don't know what the dials mean.
Good luck is all I'm saying.

My husband wanted a Smeg cooker, dual fuel, 6 gas burners - so we have one. Don't ask why, we've also a Bertazzoni induction hob, I love it most.

Smeg and induction, you'd have perfection, to me.

I think that’s what mine is , cream and looks good but I would cheerfully swap it for two ovens side by side with a wide induction hob (6”plates”) on top.
Not going to happen though. The slow oven is great for overnight cooking and the small top left oven/grill useful but how I coped with three children and professional cooking on bog standard cookers, then bought this when the girls had all grown up and left home is anybody’s guess!

My Smeg cooker is fine, but the cream paintwork started to chip within a couple of years. That’s the only problem with it, a poor finish.

We are being really brave and going for an induction hob too.

One of our AS’s has the duel fuel double Smeg range (electric oven gas hobs) he loves it and wouldn’t go back to a RangeMaster.

We have a RangeMaster and like you will probably consider replacing with a smeg when the time comes.
