Blood Pressure Monitors

Thanks everyone for being so helpful. I think I will get the Omron M2 from Argos.

Pittcity

I rely on mine as I have White Coat syndrome!

Snap and I use a Lloyds pharmacy one. I often am asked to tale BP morning and evening for 8 days and it seems to work I must say the cuff bruises my arm.

White coat syndrome too.

I’m getting ads for Omron monitors on this page now

Same here Pittcity and I was asked to take my monitor to the Surgery to make sure it was in sync with theirs.

Mine is an Omron too DanniRae, I replace it every three years or so as they can lose accuracy, or may need re calibration.

Sorry Danni, I’ve had mine so long that I’ve no idea where it’s from or what it cost.

There’s another blood monitor thread under ‘Health’ with more advice/suggestions if you want to look before you buy.

Hi Fanny - I would like to know if anyone can recommend one for me to buy. Grannynw has done that and I am about to go on the Argos website. BTW thanks Grannynw for your very prompt reply!

PS .. there were 2 models to choose from and the only difference apart from £10 was that the more expensive ones stored the last 10 readings. I opted for the cheaper one and just write down the readings.

DanniRae I got my Omron monitor in Argos 3 years ago. Recommended by the Practice Nurse as being reliable and easy to use. It was £22 then but has more than likely increased since then just like our blood pressure ?

Yes. I’ve got one. What do you want to know?
