Natural hair dye-is there such a thing?

My experience of henna was it made my hair purple ? but that was many years ago.

I used henna years ago. It made my dark brown hair a lovely colour and it looked healthy and shiny.

There is natural hair and there is dye. I think that covers it really. Hope you find what you want. ?‍♀️??‍???‍?

I used Henna years ago, mixed it up into a thick paste and slathered it on, it took ages to wash out!

I had very long hair and I think 2 pots cost about £1.50! So very cheap.
I loved the colour though.

Very hard to avoid chemicals in our lives in this day and age though.

Be very careful with henna if you at any time want to dye your hair at some point later. Make sure it is 100% pure henna and doesn't contain any metallic salts.

I used to henna my hair a deep red-auburn when I was younger and loved it. I would do it again but can't be bothered with the maintenance these days.

Olia by Garnier is a non ammonia hair dye and is supposed to be 60% oil based and so kind to your hair. They seem to have a wide range of colours too.

Best place to buy real henna is in an Asian shop. It needs to be mixed to a thick paste and plastered on and left. Do not use if you have any remnants of dyed hair. It can turn very weird colours. Natural henna can also dye your skin and orangey brown and is used to make wonderful patterns on the hands of a bride.

Try henna, it will really bring out the shine. Used to be in powder form but I'm sure there are better forms of it available now. My Asian friends used to sleep with it on overnight to get the best colour.

I'm mid brown and want to stay roughly the same.
