It probably will be more valuable than one without a mistake, but no, I shan't buy one. The unicorn is definitely too small, and should not be sliding off the edge, even although Scotland is considering independence! The lion is wearing the wrong crown and neither Wales nor N. Ireland are represented.

Added to that HM looks unlike herself at any age!

I’ve got the little coach and horses. It sits on my table to this day!
Mine sat in a glass cabinet, Grandma70s and one day I took it out to show a DGC and it broke in a few places - it seemed like metal fatigue!

Do you suppose they'll want us to celebrate in 2023 as well? Or are they doing it in 2022 just to make sure it happens????

I'm trying to remember when the Silver Jubilee was by my DC's ages.
Must have been 1977 and it would have been in the summer too because we had a street party.

I think Feb 6th is the Acession, June is the coronation. I had a coronation mug and a teaspoon.

The coronation was the next year, 1952 so presumably they've chosen that date as a compromise because the weather should be better.

I've got a coronation mug (somewhere) and a teaspoon used daily. I also had a tiny model of the coronation coach and horses but it fell to bits a few years ago.
Just looked £146! I'd have stuck it back together if I'd known.

No definately not, even if it might be worth a lot in the future, its a disgrace.

Feb 6th 1952 was the date of accession to the throne - the date of the death of George VI.

The commemorative plate is hilarious. I love the lion and the unicorn - a kind of mash up of the Lion King and My Little Pony.

I'm going to get one, if I can! It think it's quite fun.

I dont think commemorative china is ever an investment We've just cleared my late MIL's home and it was awash with the stuff .My daughters friend is an antiques expert and she says you cant give it away ,especially the Charles and Di or Andy and Sarah stuff ,so it has all gone to the tip .We did keep one item from the 1930's along with a newspaper from that date for the GC's school thought it might be a useful thing in their history lessons .

So jubilee is 6th feb but we're marking it in june??? Or have i got that wrong???
