How many pairs of knickers do you own? Without looking, have a guess....

I'm always clearing out but reckon I probably have around 100 pairs and they're mostly identical.

Yes, FF, mine are all identical. Good old M&S, high leg, black.

Out of interest, why have so many of the same?
Mine are mostly different and range from size 8 thongs to size 18. I’m a size 10 normally.
Bought the size 18s when I had hip replacement, much easier to get on.
So easy infact that I prefer them to ones my own size!

I have around 30 pairs and about to get rid of half of them inc bras.
I do tend to wear the same ones so could easily get rid of them.

About 30 and the are all identical black waist high cotton.

I reckon I could go about 3 weeks with a clean pair each day before I have to repeat myself, as it were. A few different types but the beige flexifit ones from M&S are my favourites.

Same with socks and shoes. I was amazed when a friend told me she only had 2 pairs of shoes.

I recently bought 5 packs of 5 multi colours so at least 25 pairs.
Just take whatever is on the top of the pile so they all get worn in rotation.

I only have 2 pairs of shoes - black pumps and red pumps. I am either in boots or sandals!

6 sets of underwear, each with 2 prs pants plus 3 more pairs of pant just in case. Cannot bear clutter and if something isn't used regularly it goes out.

Where do you find space to keep all this underwear?

Ha, know this one because n the Summer I took advantage of the lull to go to the local underwear shop and buy 3 packs of 6 Sloggi knickers. Threw the old ones away.

I would say about two dozen, possibly more.

About 30, mostly white Sainsbury midis though a few black ones.

I’m reminded of being in M&S behind a very well dressed lady who was buying black knickers, because ‘ you can wear them a few days longer’.

I am pleased to see this non-controversial subject. At the last count a few months ago the total was 52, including several black (rarely used), several gifts made of shiny material and a whole pack labelled 14 which were more like size 18.
Occasionally I manage to throw one or two.

I must have around 40 pairs. I do not like black, beige or white and like others, I have my favourites and only throw a pair out if a hole appears.

Ah yes Peasblossom. I'd forgotten about the few silk and lace pairs.

I had two Eureka! moments regarding knickers a few years ago. 1. A size larger were a lot more comfortable than my actual size. 2. Black is the best colour for regular wear as it doesn’t seem to stain like lighter coloured knickers - I realised this when I was putting away clean underwear in a hospital locker for my poor embarrassed MiL. I wish M&S sold pure cotton navy knicks, they seem stuck in a rut with only white and black.

About 30 I think. Had a clearout last summer then bought 2 packs of 5 on line. they were a bit scratchy around the leg so the unopened pack will be going to the charity shop when they reopen. Like others I keep wearing my favourite half dozen or so.

You could try dyeing them Tea3. I dyed bras and knicks purple a few years ago. The bras came out lovely shades of lilac and the knicks were a toning match.
