What are your (family-related) New Year's resolutions?

Sorry MOnica - just put it down to a "bad day at the office" - won't make that mistake again (until the next time that is)

My New Years resolution is to stop my granddaughter from watching ‘anime’! It is in no way appropriate and her obsession with ‘Kokichi Oma’ is outrageous! And what is a Nagito Komayda? I don’t understand her obsession!

This year flew by so quickly it would be good to find ways to slow down and relish the moment. The GC are growing up so fast.

Who thought up these questions? Why 'specifically around family'? We do have our own lives, you know! I can't answer as none of them apply!

To not feel responsible any longer as the eldest sibling for getting everyone to keep in touch.
Ditto my own children.
To just buy things for the home if I like them rather than get my hard to please, never likes anything husband's approval. Unless he shares the looking!
To be more assertive and not be intimidated.
Good luck with getting OH to lose weight. Need to lock the kitchen door when you go to bed.

It's a bit soon yet. Probably have to go on another diet, as usual.
Family related? Keep my mouth shut and don 't interfere.

To try to live in the moment and stop wishing our lives away!

Just to keep loving our lot and continue to let them live their lives without worrying about us.

Gosh, didn't take long for the miserymugs to invade this thread.

Now my New Year's resolution is to get DH to lose considerably more than 2 stone in order to keep me happy. He has made a start already.

Now what do you make of that inkcog?

if you need to lose weight to keep him happy, sorry he's not worth it.

To master the art of keeping my mouth shut and my sense of humour under strict control , oh and to check any text I send to my DIL for any contravening of her moral/humour/parental ability/marital bliss etc. etc. Mmmm going to be a hard one to keep up but I am dertermined - oh and to lose 2 stone in order to keep my OH happy!!!! As if ........

Luckily I don't have any family problems to address so my New years resolution is to keep things the way they are.

Not to worry as much. To get on with my life and enjoy things. My AC are getting on with theirs and they soon ask for help if needed.
