Thank you all. She's been a busy girl in the garden with me today, so she did (thankfully) stop asking when we were going to make it lol.

She's back home with mummy now, and going off to visit her new baby cousin tomorrow, so I have a day or so to have a bit of an experiment before she's back to harangue me again

The video she watched just said "I'm adding the activator now" but didn't mention what it was or how much to add. Hence me doing a google search. And google just directed me to a load of American videos which bamboozled me completely.

The 'Formil biological' mentioned as the activator is a clothes detergent from Lidl - cheap as chips. Scroll down under the video for the ingredients

liquid starch does not have to cost 40 quid a bottle, there are cheaper brands if you look on amazon. The expensive one is the one which is sold for making slime!
Good luck with the experiment. My youngest loves slime but has still not discovered that you can make it at home. I have not enlightened her.

It seems you need to add instant snow to the usual slime recipe....you would need to be cautious with the amount you add going on my experience of instant snow!

Oh sorry, I've just Googled cloud slime, and it is a bit different from the usual slime, I see what you mean....

Liquid starch is available on Amazon, but it's not cheap - half a gallon is around £40 . I wonder if standard powdered laundry starch can be used if it's mixed with water thoroughly first? Wouldn't have a clue about the ratio though

YouTube is the way to go - some of the videos give detailed instructions - I know, my DGD loves watching these ad nauseam - yawn,yawn!

I sympathize with you. My DGD is always trying to make slime when with me as DD bans it in her house because it is so messy.Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.I haven't heard of cloud slime but she uses shaving foam,spray starch,some sort of glue and food colouring.
