Delivery of kitchen island/butchers block

Is it a kitchen island or a butchers block?

Thank you for your replies. I have now found an Island with another Company. Due to the weight of the item, they do send two delivery people. They will bring it into the kitchen, set it up where needed and take away all the packaging and wrapping. Just what I was looking for.

I am under 5` and brought my big butchers block in with the delivery driver. One end at a time can easily be lifted and it has locking castors. No problems whatsoever re me being the helper. I can roll it easily and would most definitely take it if I ever moved

I honestly could not do without it, there are not enough worktops in my kitchen. Both my neighbours each bought one after me, all in different styles but the same size

Contact the supplier and see if there's a workable alternative. Most companies only deliver large items to the front door as standard.

I always check the delivery, and what it includes.

It costs more, inevitably, but some companies deliver to the room of your choice, unpack it, and take the packing away with them.

I've ordered several large butcher block worktops, mainly oak but all were delivered by a single delivery person. I always made sure someone was here to help bring it in. Once it was in none of us could shift it on our own. One was 3 mtrs long.

I suppose they are too mean to employ an extra delivery person.
