For me it is the root of the celery which we used to fight over, bacon rind (very hard to find), banana toffee which stuck to your teeth and blancmange/symington table creams. Ponds face cream, and Armani hair gel. The gel would be so thick sometimes it had to be washed out! Guess I’m giving my age away ?

Thank you Poppyjo
What a wonderful trip down memory lane!
Clarnico mint creams,
Palm banana split toffee bars,
Morny French Fern,
Pond's cold cream,
Anne French cleansing milk,

I could add
Avon Timeless perfume/cologne - sadly allergic to it!
Bristow's lanolin cream shampoo in sachets - so convenient
Lux soap flakes - or am I looking in the wrong place?!

You can get Ponds cold cream in Boots, I saw some last week. It's not in the lovely glass jar though. No vanishing cream though.

Woolworths coffee cream’s in the blue wrapper.
A bubble bath by Roger & Galette called Celete Mignardise or something like that. The perfume was like carnations.
Another bubble bath called Timeless by Goya l think.
These three things remind me of being a teenager.

Cussons Imperial Leather Roll-on deodorant.

humptydumpty Tue 25-Jan-22 14:57:52

I wonder why they stopped making Clarnico mint creams? I remeber them fondly too and so many thumbs up on this thread.

humptydumpty Tue 25-Jan-22 14:56:42

Ooh PinkCosmos! I used to HATE Virol and dreaded being given it; I mentioned that to my mum a few years ago and she asked me why I didn't just say, and she'd have stopped! Somehow I never said no to either of my parents

Astelle29 Tue 25-Jan-22 14:49:01

Mary Quant make up, Yardley face cream.

MissHavisham1984 Tue 25-Jan-22 14:43:12

Midnight perfume by Dorothy Gray. Also Quadrille perfume by Balenciaga, I wore it on my wedding day. Clarnico mint creams too.

Craven’s Old English mints, hard outer shell and chewy in the middle. Clearing out to downsize and found an old bottle of Aqua Manda, didn’t smell very nice at all after 40 years in a cupboard!

Old Jamaica chocolate bars.
At least I seem to think that's what they were called.

You can still get Old Jamaica, sadly it’s no longer the same as it was. Palm oil has ruined it.

RosieJ18 Tue 25-Jan-22 14:28:58

Energen Rolls, a puff ball of heaven

MissAdventure Tue 25-Jan-22 14:27:52

Ooh mint cracknell someone mentioned.
Was there a nut one too?

vickya Tue 25-Jan-22 14:21:38

Dark chocolate spread in a plastic tub, no nuts in it, think it was Rowndtrees? And Roget and Galet Eau Sandal in cut glass bottle

MagSt Tue 25-Jan-22 14:01:33

Oh yes, loved Aqua manda

FannyCornforth Tue 25-Jan-22 13:57:12

Rhubarb and custard sweets and Midget gems the tiny really hard ones that made a lump and nearly choked you.

Yammy I mentioned Eau de Givenchy up thread!
It was gorgeous wasn’t it?! So fresh and sparkly. God knows why they stopped making itsad

Coffee crisp - a chocolate coated wafer bar sandwiched with coffee aero.
City Emeraude perfume.

Snorkel Tue 25-Jan-22 13:54:43

Flex shampoo and conditioner by Revlon. Simply the best. The smell and the 'bounce' it gave my wavy hair.

Tuckshop Tue 25-Jan-22 13:53:19

Morny French Fern soap - lovely soft fragrance. Whitworth's dried peppers which were good for me as don't need to use a large amount.
