Odd things we do without realising it

Keeping eyes closed prevents the toothpaste spraying into the eyes, peppermint stings.
I always put left leg into trousers first but put on right shoe before left.

I think I close my eyes when I clean my teeth too - probably a natural part of concentrating on the job!

I'm sure we all have our quirks and that what seems 'normal ' to us in many instances might seem odd to others.

Maybe my 'odd' is my food rituals. I don't mind having exactly the same for breakfast and lunch - porridge / crackers, a tiny bit of cheese / cream, an apple ... day in, day out. I don't need variety! Would be fed up if the evening meal were the same though.
