Fundraising in Ludlow.

Not sure if it's up to the nurses to decide. I think it was a management decision. They have accepted money from the charity collectors since 1987 and the total donated since then is in the region of £90,000.
I understand some other hospitals in Shropshire have expressed an interest in having the money.

Were the nurses actually asked whether they would like the donations?

I suppose carnival parades and pantomimes will be next on the PC hit list. There's an awful lot of cross dressing involved in both of those categories. ?

Ludicrous, the administrator who made this decision should immediately be offered the job of running the National Trust, their right-on, holier than thou, chief executive is leaving to run an Oxford College and she would be the perfect replacement.

I hope they find an organisation that appreciates their efforts to donate the money to.

Absolutely ridiculous - men have dressed as women for good causes since I don't know when with no harm done and no offence taken.

I hate to be po-faced about those guys, who appeared to have meant well; but when I took a look at the photo in the above link, I was saddened by the lack of thought obvious in their, 'drag' costumes. I applaud the idea, but maybe they could have tried a little harder to represent nursing in a kinder light.
