I did not hear Carole Thatcher on the radio . However , it must be awful to hear ones parent so villified .

I expect she grew used to it in the 1980s and 90s.

It would hit you more when your mum had just died.

Hitler got things done - he even made the trains run on time (allegedly). It is easy when you don't allow any alternative views.

Funeral only cost £3.5 million not the £10 million the media was forecasting. So that's all right then. And there are people on this forum who complain all the time (mistakenly) about the cost of the Royal Family!

I suppose some spin doctor put out the 10 million cost of the funeral so that we'd all go, 'hey, it only cost 3.5 million; what a bargain'..[goes away pondering how I can reduce the cost of my funeral to 3.5 million]
