May I have fruit tea please? I don't drink 'real' tea and it is too late in the day for coffee. No shortbread thanks, trying to lose weight.
What is the wettest place you have ever been to?

I lay awake in the early hours and thought about the pleasant times I've spent in the Quiet Corner. For whatever reason, I spread my wings and have tried to be more adventurous by dipping into very different threads. From hereon, I hope to visit this corner regularly. Just now, I'm feeling calm inside.
It will be so good to have Gally back.
Nansdogsbody ...respect! You really are a champ.
Safe travels Anno. Bet you've had fun-times with Greatnan
It's very blustery in Kintyre. There are big white-topped waves on the sea.
My friend reported seeing the wee feral ginger kitten [the same that a passing motorist spotted on Sunday.] She thinks that it must be about 2 months old. Rory is out again. It wouldn't surprise me, to see him with the kitten - in our garden - sometime soon.
Marelli yes, that was a good idea and great timing. Have a fabulous time today, and hello to all anonymous Gransnetters who are lurking. Come on in - you don't have to go in at the deep end (I hesitate to recommend the 'shallow' end - you know what I mean)
Morning everyone. Today I've got two 2-year olds and a 15 month old to look after. Happy days!
Morning everyone. Pouring down here but I have just been for a walk with the dog, and the air is so fresh and clean that it didn't matter that we got wet through. Today, my daughter and I are taking the girlies for their develomental check-up. Can't beleve they will be one next month. Yesterday, we had a lovely spending spree on baby clothes and birthday presents. They laughed and babbled all the way round the shopping centre. Great fun!
Morning all, it's a gloomy wet morning here in Cheshire, but my dgd is coming whilst her mum goes to work for a half day, so I shall have lots of cuddles
Safe journey, gally
Thank you - I shall look forward to being back on the same time as you! I leave here tomorrow (wednesday) at your 5 am so back at Heathrow early on thursday morning - I hear rain is on the cards - there's a surprise Mixed emotions; I have just been having a wonderful cuddle with Harriet who was gurgling and laughing at the tears running down my face. She is the most beautiful baby and of course I will miss the others too (but not the constant shouting and tantruming ).
Anno and Great it sounds as if you've had a wonderful time together - safe flight home
Have a safe journey home Anno. Sounds like you have both had a great week together
Actually....do you think I could have just a small red
too, please?
Hi Gally have a safe journey back
Yes, Ella some fresh air to blow the cobwebs away is just what is needed. I'll have a lovely cup of thanks!
Good morning Gally
Good morning Ella and Crimson, I may just join you for some time out before starting my packing ready for the trip home. I have been trying to keep up with recent threads, but to be quite honest, I am becoming more and more confused, nay flummoxed - nothing unusual there, some may say - so have given up trying. Tomorrow's another day ...........
Ah , that's better, I'll have a large AND a large
.Never do anything by halves!
I thought I'd open the window in here and let some fresh air in,so that we can sit down with a nice and or if you prefer, a large .
It seems a little fraught out there on the forum lately, so our quiet corner is here if needed.
