Well I am an addict and proud of it! Love it all even the boring bits and now love Ambridge Extra.......I believe I am not alone either????

merlotgran Tue 25-Aug-15 19:58:42

Yes. I can't wait to hear Kenton's opinion.

Watch out, Tom. Rob's after your inheritance.

Luckygirl Tue 25-Aug-15 19:54:16

I await a reaction from the other Archer children when they find out Jill has been given the boot!

BlackeyedSusan Tue 25-Aug-15 19:43:08

With any luck she will fall onto Rob too and take him out.

Tegan- it's never too late to start listening to the Archers. The story lines (un link Enders and increasingly Corrie) happen in real time so you can soon step into Ambridge, so to speak. One of the great joys is you can take breaks and rejoin.

BlackeyedSusan - what a wicked thing to say but yes indeed, Hazel is a real pantomime villain, puts many of the others in the shade.

BlackeyedSusan Tue 25-Aug-15 18:34:07

wish hazel had fallen off the roof. perhaps she will fall off teh scaffolding of the new appartments.

Luckygirl Tue 25-Aug-15 16:29:00

Oh goodie!

Gracesgran Tue 25-Aug-15 14:53:28

They would probably end up killing one another suzied smile

suzied Tue 25-Aug-15 14:14:41

Rob should have an affair with Hazel Wooley. They'd make a good couple.

Tegan Tue 25-Aug-15 13:37:28

I have never listened to The Archers. Comments like this 'Yes he does - I wish Nigel hadn't fallen off the roof, he was a joy' make me realise I'm missing out big time #nigelshouldhavebeeninylife grin

Iam64 Tue 25-Aug-15 13:16:28

Yes he does - I wish Nigel hadn't fallen off the roof, he was a joy.

Nandalot Tue 25-Aug-15 12:34:44

Does Toby have the makings of a second pantomime villain?

Iam64 Tue 25-Aug-15 08:03:51

Good point SloeGinny about the Enderisation. The Brookfield will they move or not was also nonsense and I'm disappointed the nonsense continues with the Heather/Jill issue. As if! David and Ruth are much more grounded and sensible than they're being portrayed in this story line (it's real everyone)

Having moaned about that I am enjoying the Rob story line, what a pantomime villain he is.

Is there to be a depressed Kenton, mental health intervention type story line or will Jolene just tell him to get a grip.

SloeGinny Tue 25-Aug-15 06:46:59

So many blind alley plot lines, especially around Rob.

The situation where Jill has been told to move out so that Heather can be moved in is just not credible, surely they would just move Bert back into his cottage, make another downstairs room into a bedroom or do some conversions to Rickyard (?) and find a B&B for the relief milker.

I suppose the out of character and literally incredible plots are just to be expected in the East Enderisation of TA and the reason why, after a lifetime of making a point of listening, I'm only catching up if the radio happens to be on.

Kenton was always the Black sheep, and then the prodigal son, now he is just being a self pitying spoilt brat. Can you tell I don't like him! I sometimes wonder if Rob is ever going to get his comeuppance, he may not .

Nandalot Mon 24-Aug-15 13:02:34

Great link, Gracesgran. Thanks.

Gracesgran Mon 24-Aug-15 12:40:13

AAs may find this amusing ambridgeobserver.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/rob-departs-david-breaks-his-mums-heart.html

Naughty about the "High hopes for new bird at Hollowtree" grin

Nandalot Sun 23-Aug-15 21:37:02

Yes, poor Jill. And I agree, out of character for Ruth. But am pleased that the Rob storyline is beginning to hot up again. How he twists things. Is he self-delusional do you think?

suzied Sun 23-Aug-15 21:35:07

And are we now supposed to be feeling sorry for Kenton and his "poor me" attitude? Has he been the less favoured one throughout?
( I can't remember!)

Luckygirl Sun 23-Aug-15 21:23:42

It is beyond belief that Jill was not involved in the discussions about Heather, but just presented with a fait accompli. It seems out of character for Ruth, which is what makes this plot line so silly.

Gracesgran Sun 23-Aug-15 21:20:17

Poor Jill, in tears at Christine's. It's ridiculous to offer her a home and then throw her out. Bad Ruth and David sad.

Nelliemoser Sun 23-Aug-15 20:02:49

Rob appears to be losing it big time.

Nelliemoser Sun 23-Aug-15 11:15:06

Merlot I am guessing the "hunt saboters" line is another "sleeper" plot that might be popping back sometime.
Addicted is what we are like.

Part of the fun of The Archers is seeing how the script writers are managing their story lines. .

merlotgran Sun 23-Aug-15 10:09:40

What happened with Rob and the hunt sab?

#anotherdroppedstoryline

Nandalot Sun 23-Aug-15 09:49:22

You're right Nan Kate. Jill sounded very frail when David was telling her about Heather . All wobbly voiced and choked up with suppressed emotion. grin
I want the Charlie/Rob storyline back. Aren't they teases? I was hoping for a big showdown but Charlie sounded conciliatory. What a let down. Or is there still trouble brewing? Dah. Dah. Dah.
